let's say we buy an imported digicam from a store:

1. pag pasok sa customs, custom duties/tax kagad
2. pag dumaan sa cargo handlers/warehouses, EVAT 12% of service fee.

(or correct me if i'm wrong with the enumeration above, tnx)

sa totoo lang pre, I'm also confused as you are with this issue.

they say mas delikado if we dont allow the EVAT to increase.
na inutang pa during the Marcos era, baka d tayo makutang ulit,
and so on so forth.

kaya nga ako magmula noon pa. I never believed that political
line that "we're doing this to save next generation or for the next ". who really cares d'ba. Those former politicians just passed it on to us. And our generation couldnt care less on the next one.

Whichever way we look, the past, the present, the future, we're doomed! so my advise, make the best of it na lang pre. I'm just
counting on us being humans, us being capable of healing, us being
capable of experiencing individual miracles & influencing others at that.

Taxes & Economics cant save us. It's math. It's minus or plus lang.
It doesnt include other human factors in the equation. Factors that
made us survive for 2000 or so years, despite the odds.

Puwede naman eh, for example the July 1990 earthquake, that situation
could be worse than what we have today. Billions were destroyed in a
span 1 to 5 mins. But still we prevailed.
