Actually, I'm close friends with one of the top earners (Top 3) of one of the more well-known MLM groups. Truthfully, I view them now in a better light and nagalter yun perception ko sa kanila since truthfully they work for it naman. Yun tipong site trip here and there in promoting the brand as well as speeches in trying to "get a sale".

I also told him that I didn't like yun mga showy cars niya but it's more of a business expense than a personal one. Kahit ano naman gawin mo, a car is one of those "I wants" for your typical Juan along with a H&L and they DO draw crowds. If it didn't, Willie wouldn't be displaying his Rolls alot

Of course, as for mga get-rich-quick schemes.. ibang usapan na yan.

Royale? dami nga kotse nun, you name it he has it. suburban, expedition, E150, H2, jaguar, porsche, ferrari, lambo, etc.

gamit nila yung mga kotse nila to entice would be "partners" in their scheme. no matter what "hard work" they put in, it is still a pseudo-pyramid scam, selling products for 30x what it really is worth and making money from "downlines".

Well they do work for it naman no doubt. I can't count how many times I've been politely pestered to attend a meeting or go for coffee. Before the plan was the yabang enticement, the rich kid life, materialism, etc. Today, they've evolved and make clear mention that the people selling/promoting/recruiting are distinguished graduates of universities, professionals, etc., they will promote "passive income", and having all the time you want to spend time with family and do other things. They had to evolve to changing times as the image of MLM is already distorted and it now has to appeal to a more sophisticated crowd. At the end of the day though, the focus is still recruitment and products i still see as overpriced and not really that needed or considered basic necessities. I agree that it's not a ponzi scheme but my take is i still don't subscribe to that kind of model.

The last invite i got was also a very good friend of mine. I'm godfather to his son and he is ninong to my daughter... Of course i entertained him but at the end, no deal pa rin. I really pushed his buttons on how to make the sell and gave him a hell of a time by asking for financial models and countering everything he said... hehe. :D

^when you sell a product that is unjustifiably expensive, it's morally wrong for me as well. There are standards and get-rich-standards.:-D

Hahaha, true that. However, the world's small enough that there really are companies who entice "customers" in buying their +1000% laden products. Trust me, nakakita na ako ng company na nagbebenta ng Macbook Pro-priced na USB connector for "audiophiles"

Debating on whether MLM is good or bad is like how hedge fund managers (if you're updated on it) are betting billions of dollars on the long and short side of NYSE-listed Herbalife. Kawawang Bill Ackman.. that's $500 million down the drain na

Well, if we were selling anything, who would not want a 1000% ROI ba naman?
