to each his own when buying anything naman, kahit ako dati ganon din. when i see my dad buying his rolex grabe $30,000 yung ibang rolex niya sabi ko dati kahit mayaman ako di ako bibili ng ganyan kamahal na relo, pero now iba na pag may extra pera siguro bibili ako pero depende pa rin. nung hiniram ko kasi isang rolex ni erpat and went on a meeting abroad iba talaga trato ng mga tao sayo pag maganda ang suot mo not just watch but every thing you wear.

Tried inquiring the last price of different Rolex models with my everyday Seiko diver's watch and the sales person answered "Php200+ yan, ah mas mahal yan"

Went back again with my Rolex white faced Ex II just to window shop without even asking. The sales person immediately came close to ask "Sir, dito po, what model po, kay ma'am po ba?" :doh:

*marg. I have a cellphone too. We also have several wall clocks and computers that tell time. I also have other wrist watches (digital or otherwise). Just what I said, it's no big deal. If I can afford to buy several real estate properties, why not a Rolex to reward myself.

Ewan ko kung pwede maka relate sa topic but, I remember when I just graduated from college, my brother would always take me to business meetings to introduce me to contacts and clients. One time ako daw mag da drive so hinanda ko yung revo at pinalamig yung aircon, pag labas niya sabi niya wag yan, yung Accord ang gamitin natin, I asked him whats the issue kung revo, sabi niya nakusap daw niya yung secretary ng kakausapin namin at isa daw sa sinabi nung secretary, yung boss daw niya mas papansinin yung ka meeting kung maganda auto mo.

Naalala ko lang kasi tulad ng Rolex din siguro yan, it might not be the most accurate time telling tool in the world but for people like that guy we were supposed to meet that day it might add some pogi points to the wearer

A very Pinoy thing. In other countries gaya ng US and Europe they don't even look at the brand of your watch. As long as matino trabaho mo, OK ka.

Sobra tayong Brand conscious. Yung big boss nga ng sister ko sa US naka Timex lang, kahit na he has $150M+ in company stock.

Dito mga hindi gano kayaman ang naka Rolex din.

I do have a rolex, a gift from my wife (to reciprocate a rolex gift ko sa kanya nung bday niya).

Having one is "our" form of celebration for something that we have achieved. I do not care if some people will say mababaw kami, pero that's us.

it's the same thing all over the world, di lang kasing lala sa philippines. i always have a business meeting in the states and yes they don't really care much on the brand of the things you're wearing, but when you're wearing a nice brand of watch or clothes they'll treat you differently and compliment you more.

Maraming magandang brands na iba dyan. Hublot, IWC, Jaeger, Breguet, Chopard, Blancpain, AP, Vacheron, A Lange, Patek etc.

Pinoys go for the same old brands kasi like Rolex, Lacoste, Fundador...GASGAS mga na yan. Kahit mga galing SAUDI meron nyan. Mga tindero sa HK Roleks din ang suot.

Rolex is mostly marketing Hype. In fact, the name Rolex was chosen because it was short, catchy and is easy to read even by speakers of different languages. It doesn't mean anything.

And its not rare, Rolex makes about 800,000 watches yearly.
