Ah... that is a debatable topic.

Theoretically, an increase in the mean sea temperature will help facilitate the creation of more hurricane / storms. But in reality, the global number of hurricane / storms is just constant (which can be contributed to the wind factor which can either break or make it)

Another topic for debate is whether global warming can actually make hurricane / storms stronger. Data shows that there is definitely an increase in the strength of hurricane / storms over the past couple of decades.

And also - the real effects of global warming is still up for debate. Some theorize that global warming will actually HELP the planet as it will increase CO2 levels and rainfall - thereby boosting plant life. Some even theorize that global warming is a natural occurrence that will happen even without the intervention of man - remember how it broke the Ice Age?
