    Hello

Meron ba kayo marerecomend na money remittance service papunta dito sa Pinas from the US? Madalas kasi ang pagpapadala, kaya OK un mababang service fee at in $$$ sana makukuha un pera. Matagal.

Western Union - mataas ang service fee.
    Wire/bank transfer - mas-mataas ang service fee.
xoom.com - the transactions are getting cancelled. No clear reason why.

    Any other recommendation?

    Thanks in advance!

have you tried SMART-padala? mas mababa yata charges.

mukhang mahirap yata yang dollars din mare-receive. possible lang yan kung ang beneficiary account is dollar din and this is only possible thru the methods you just mentioned above.

PNB ang gamit namin noon. the fee is $7.00 per $100 sent yata.

if you want to remit regularly, could the OFW open up a checking account with a bank with a presence sa Pilipinas, like Citi or HSBC...and then give his debit card to his family in the philippines? then the family could use the ATM back home to withdraw the money. i guess the only drawback would be that you couldn't withdraw large amounts immediately (but then maybe you could wire money or use the teller), or if the fees for this type of ATM usage would be huge.

    would this work?

Good idea M54. Usually $500 ang limit per day, but you can ask to get at least $700 a day from the US bank.

Both under my name so yung isang ATM hawak ko yung isa nasa beneficiary sa Pinas. Pano ako nag transfer Im doing it online banking http://bpiexpressonline.com So basically yung ATM na hawak ko may pondo na yung ATM na nasa pinas wala maintaiing balance lang or some few hundreds para hindi ma closed. So you can do it online pag transfer mo ngayon with in a seconds lang pwede na nila kunin.. Pwede ka din mag schedule transfer like every week, daily or depende sa gusto mo kahit monthly. So walang charges every month or every week kung mag papadala ka sa pinas.. Actually hindi naman talaga padala ang tawag don its the way of controlling yung pera sa pinas.

Kung once a month of any dollar amount ka mag deposit, I belive its still $5.00.

    Set up the account:

    1. You open an International ATM Remittance Account to the Philippines, and provide the name of the authorized cardholder who will withdraw the money in the Philippines.
    2. Wait 7 to 10 days for your Wells Fargo ATM Card and the Remittance ATM Card. Also wait for your Personal Identification Number (PIN), which allows you and the authorized cardholder to use the ATM. For security reasons, the ATM card and PIN are sent separately.
    3. Send the Remittance ATM Card to your authorized cardholder in the Philippines. Once he or she receives the card, send the PIN for the card. Do not send the card and PIN together.

    Transfer money:
Make a deposit to your account. The next business day, your authorized cardholder can withdraw pesos from any ExpressNet or MegaLink ATM in the Philippines.

wire transfer yata ang ginawa mo kaya $35.00, not sure tho.
