I don't know what to say. We were in that "situation" but did not opt for the dog during ToT..

Oh well. Signs of times, i guess....
We have neighbors who brought their dogs in costume for trick or treat. If the dog owner gave out candies as well, I don't see anything wrong with it I wanted my fat lab to participate too but she'll only be giving out candies

Trick or treating seems to be becoming like "pamamasko". We've had kids from the neighborhood trick or treating even though there's no Halloween party or advanced announcement that there will be kids trick or treating.

I kinda feel sorry for the disappointed kids. It's not like everyone always keeps a stash of candy at home... It's not the same as caroling where you can scrounge up loose change or small bills to give away if kids drop by without notice.

maybe the signs need to be videos for people to take notice? In some sm malls there are people who actually wait near the escalators to inform people about it. I just didn't notice if they followed.

Or maybe our signs need to be harsher like "wag maging tanga..."...

or maybe they need to paint the escalator itself with that green arrow sign on the left, the double yellow partition line and a sort of a red stop symbol on the right, that way, people taking the ride have time to ponder what these signs mean and maybe next time take notice of the actual signs on the poster. however, these signs have no effect on stupid people

in our village it's understood that kids can only do their trick or treating at houses w/ halloween decors splashed all over their facade.

personally, i don't find this american tradition endearing

I'm starting to hate my front neighbor's dogs who do nothing but bark hysterically at every person, tricycle, or dog that passes by their owner's gate.

Stupid dogs or owners who have no idea how to train their dogs? I'm thinking the latter...
