a topic that you yourself is very well into is the most applicable one.

whatever topic you end up with, try to incorporate a short, catchy line that drives your point and you repeat several times during the speech. it's normally a good technique. parang comm II sa UP, ha.

Here's one I think would really be controversial, "Phase Out All Jeepneys and Second Hand Buses" :starwars:

Arguments for would be:

1. Road and Passenger Safety
2. Fuel Efficiency of other modes (i.e. LRT/MRT)
3. Environmental concerns (pollutants from poorly-maintained PUV's)
4. Traffic Decongestion

Arguments against would be:

1. Inconvenience to commuters
2. Lost livelihood of operators, drivers and conductors
3. Lack of Space to Store or Dispose of Old PUVs.

private school=rich
public school=poor
private schhol=better education
public school=unlikely education
...applies to philippine with some exceptions like UP, Philippine science HS, and some few good one

substandard public school teaching.

Is winning a boxing match enough for someone like Pacquiao to achieve the status of a national hero? - taken from the monkey thread

the answer is NO!!!

I get pissed to think that some Filipinos are actually little low lives to take that... Sports is sports, how the hell could someone be a natinal hero by just winning and being on top of his category... How come other countries who win numerous titles don't name a street after who represented them? LAME!!!
