This female hummingbird (which I thought is a moth at first) was trapped in my garage. Hummers aren't particularly analytical and don't have a natural concept of ceilings, and when they get scared their immediate reflex is to fly straight up. After almost an hour of flying around the flourescent light she became exhausted and landed on a clear section of the floor so I was able to scoop her up gently in my bare hands and carried her away from the garage and after staying in my palm for a minute or so she flew off to the right direction
