Recently bought a 10-18mm ultra-wide lens. Everyday boring objects and places just became more interesting.

    The Great Grate.

I'm contemplating on getting an EOS M10 as a portable backup for my 6D.

Does anyone have any experience with using EF lenses on an EOS M body through the Canon adapter? How quickly does it focus?

those are nice gears bro. those L lenses are not cheapo at all, you're an enthusiast that knows the meaning of good value for money[emoji1]

i've been using APSC sensor for a while, praktis lang but i think its time to up the ante and invest in full frame body and L lenses too [emoji4]

The 6D is a great transition if you're coming from a low/mid range APSC (think 600D or 60D).

Low light photography is better because you can bump it up to ISO 6400 or even ISO 12800 with acceptable noise levels.

AF is not the best out there, but can easily be rectified by using the center AF point and reframing.

Compared to a 7D, framerate is slower and AF is inferior. So that's the tradeoff - do you want a high end crop-sensor or a midrange full-frame? I rarely shoot sports so I don't need the high FPS, and I always shoot indoors in low light so it was an easy choice to go 6D for me. Added plus is that bokeh is better for a full frame.

Also, if you consider lens costs, a 6D set actually costs roughly the same as an 80D!

    80D body: 43k
    17-55 f2.8 IS USM: 40k
    35mm f2: 15k
    55-250 f3.5-5.6 IS: 7k
    10-22mm f4-5.6: 18k
    Total: 123k

    6D body: 60k
    24-105 f4L IS USM: 25k
    50mm f1.8 STM: 6k
    70-300 f4-5.6 IS USM: 13k
    17-40 f4L USM: 25k
    Total: 129k

6D's low light feature is the reason I bought one also. The 11 point AF is acceptable. Using a F2.8 16-35mm and the older F2.8 24-70mm that weigh a ton but is built like a tank....
