One of the most cliched things to do in NYC. Visit the lady.....
But, hey. There's nothing wrong with being mainstream.

Deym,- the first time I saw that gorgeous Lady posing at Liberty Island,- I was surprised that she's green...

It's the outlet of the Niagara Falls, right? [The Voyage of the Mist is something unforgettable - parang NatGeo - plus the elevator ride going up and down...]
Does it get flooded there?...

Yup. She's green because she's made of copper. Copper rust is green. So, all that stuff outside is rust. He He.
We lived at the northeastern shore of Lake Ontario, about 15 minutes (maybe less) from the Canadian border. Lake Ontario is the outlet for Niagara falls. But, it's at the southwest corner of the lake, several hours drive from where we were.
Floods? Nah. Bitter cold and lake effect snow? Oh yeah. Lots and lots. One reason why we moved back to Arizona was last winter. We had snow from October 2013 to April 2014. We also had bitter cold (more bitter than normal) often hitting -40 Celsius. At that temperature, my Sonata refused to start if I left it outdoors overnight. I had to wait until the sun came up and warmed up the hood some. The car started once it warmed up to -30 Celsius.
Speaking of Niagara Falls.....
We can't say we lived in NY and not have visited Niagara Falls. I wish we saw it from the Canadian side though.

The last hurrah of my Nikon Coolpix 995 shortly before I replaced it with a Canon DSLR. That 995 was the best camera I ever owned. Almost 10 years of great service without major issues.
and this guy outside the PH Consulate (New York City)......

Oh I see! That explains why the brembo pads seem to have a different design. The original Akebono...
