i understand your reason but to further use a signature with an american flag is only showing your colonial mentality......

you have to be thankful for not being born in other authoritarian/dictatorship-led countries like Mynmar, North korea, iraq and afghanistan to name a few.....their citizens cant even practice freedom of religion or freedom of speech....imagine not being able to go to church or read a credible non-partisan newspaper......at least, you have internet access and for that you have to be grateful

IMO it's a small thing that you can do to show that you are proud to be of your country .. some choose to buy local products .. some choose to stay in the country .. some choose to run for public office .. and some choose to display their flag .. nothing wrong with it .. they're all ripples in water .. some big .. some small .. but all making an impact ..

i agree. you can expand it some more: show you love your country by not giving bribes, following traffic rules, paying the right taxes, etc.

Why not? I may not be proud of certain people whom I share this country with, but I am still proud of this country, for what it has endured in history.

If you're no longer proud of your country, then what's the point in staying, right? Go ahead, the door's open. Just don't let it hit you on your way out.

What im saying is, im entitled to my opinion. And im asking you to respect mine the way i respect yours. Im not proud of this country anymore, i have no choice but to stay. Is there any problem with that?

I detest what you write, but I would give my life to make it possible for you to continue to write. -- Voltaire

You are no longer proud of your country but have no choice but to stay. That sucks. I'm glad I don't feel that way.

Even though I don't agree with your opinion, I respect the freedom that allows you to state it ..

    no problem with me

however you might consider that as much as you have the right to hold and state your opinion about the country you live in, the people around you have as much right to state their opinion or reaction to what you say. they also have the right to tell you what they think of your opinion, regardless of whether it's something you want to hear or not.

all i'm saying is, it goes both ways

so we should be thankful kase mas maraming naghihirap kesa mga pinoys? what kind of logic is that? parang sinabi na"pasalamat ka at milyun milyon lang kung mangurakot politicians sa pinas. sa sri lanka, bilyon bilyon ninananakaw nila."

But they're doing their part for the Philippines by remitting much-needed dollars. And besides, kung naipagmamalaki pa nila ang pagiging Pilipino nila, at nagagampanan ang mga magagandang kaugalian ng Pilipino kahit nasa ibang lupain sila, then so much the better.

Wika nga eh "There's no place like home"
