Nakakaatras ba eroplano? Pansin ko kasi, yung mga commercial jetliners, may tumutulak pa sa kanila para makaatras lang.

Meron akong nasakyan na eroplano sa Amerika na kayang mang reverse ng mag-isa.. American Airlines ako naka subok noon. Yung eroplanong iyon medyo maliit lang baka mga 120+ passengers lang capacity. Merong 2 engines na di kalakihan sa magkabilang side ng dulo ng eroplano near the tail. Tapos pag mag backing na sya, merong flaps yung engine na bumubukas then nagrereverse thrust.

Ganito ang feeling pag dun ka nakasakay; pag magbabacking na yun eroplano, mafefeel mo na aabante muna then sabay parang biglang aatras pati ikaw mapapa jerk patalikod ng husto sa upuan mo tapos yun na... Atras na sya mag-isa then abante na dun sa runway! (hehehehe)

yes, MD-80, 82 DC-9 pwede mag reverse thrust depende sa load ng plane and distance of the terminal. Sometimes sa states they use reverse thrust para maka save time and bayad sa tractor tug.

yes sir, if a small aircraft lands in a long runway like in HK they sometimes use brake lang to warm up the landing gears and a little quick reverse thrust...like in HK the runway is 3.8 kilometer long so akala mo smooth landing... you can't do it in Manila

It can but it needs a longer runway than usual that’s why there were planes that overshoots.
