January 17th, 2006 10:52 AM #12sinasubsidize pala ng gobyerno -- or more accurately, ng taxpayers -- ung MRT fare. something like 30-40 pesos per rider. all this because the gov't -- this time, *not* the taxpayers -- agreed to give the MRT consortium a *guaranteed* 15% return on investment. kumita man ng 1% lang, or malugi ng 50% ang MRT, the taxpayers pay the balance.
kung talagang magiging 72 pesos...i think i'll start looking for work elsewhere. i't not as if i look forward to riding the MRT to work every day.Last edited by badkuk; January 17th, 2006 at 10:55 AM.

kung 72 ang fare, lalong silang malulugi kasi walang sasakay nyan. unless they take out the FX, buses and jeeps

I honestly think that they should have made the rate that high right from the start.
In any city around the world, subways/mass transit rail have always been more expensive / km than busses and minibus systems since you're paying premium for the speed and convenience of using the transit.
Syempre dito ang consumers never think about the investment of the company...
I really wonder why foreign companies bother investing in infrastructure projects in the Philippines, it never pays off...

well... as theveed said... dapat sinanay na from the start na mahal.
