Our aquarium is leaking on one of its corners. Worse, the leak is positioned 1/3 from the bottom of the aquarium.

Anyone here who has experience in fixing this? Kindly share to me, please. Have tried glue gun and pioneer epoxy mix last night, after draining the aquarium and drying the spot, but was unsuccesful. TIA

box_type: thank you sir. Is this sealant available at ACE hardware? or True Value? or Federal Hardware? Can you also recommend a brand name, please?

    Thanks again

Sana buhay pa ang mga alaga kong isda.... Hindi ko kasi mapatakbo ang aerator/filter.

pero dapat drain mo yung aquarium, kelangan kasi dry ang glass before application of silicone sealant..and let the sealant set for 24 hrs.

clear silicon sealant. that's the same stuff they use to stick the glass panels together. you'd need to drain the tank or course.

there's also pioneer epoxy clay, pwede mo sya ihulma like clay after wetting it, then titigas sya after a few hours. pero ampangit ng labas nun B)

ba't di pwede iandar ung air pump? you could just dump them in a pail for the meantime -- wag lang nga masyado palakasin ung air pump at baka mahilo isda mo

tama, clear silicone sealant, dupont "clear silastic". make sure it is labeled "clear' since there are 3 types, clear, white and black. but you will need to buy a sealant gun for this. yung sealant is only P150 sa hardware store pero yung gun costs about P500. if you don't want to spend money for the sealant gun then hanapin mo yung "automotive window glass sealant", also made by dupont. it comes in a "toothpaste" tube so you can just squeeze this. yun lang nga medyo matagal ang curing time nito, it also "flows" so you will need to turn the aquarium on its side. if you want the curing time to be shorter try to get one of those UV counterfeit money detectors and shine the UV light on it. OR baka naman meron ka na UV light sa aquarium mo then that will work perfectly in curing the silicone. UV speeds up the curing of most adhesives including silicone, epoxy and super glue.

if you can't find the automotive glass sealant and you also don't want to spend money for the gun then the only thing left is to buy the silastic tube then just push the bottom with a piece of wood (mop handle!). don't use oily fingers to work the silicone as oil will make it stick less. cut mo muna yung outlet ha hehehehehehe! meron ako dito kasama sa rig nabali yung sealant gun kasi hindi pala nya binutasan yung outlet!

lagay mo muna fish sa balde with the airator hose. take the time na din to clean the aquarium. the best is joy dish washing liquid para kumapit ng husto yung silicon.

if you want to save a little, get the Pioneer clear silicone sealant on a squeeze tube, you wont need a silicone gun, P85 lang

Bili ka na lang ng bagong 30-50 gallons aquarium(500 - 1000 petotas lang). Pero kung mamahalin ang tank mo then go ahead and repair.

bili ka na lang ng bago, dahil pag tagal mag leak pa rin yan kasi meron pressure and tubig so baka mangyari walang tao sa bahay niyo tapos mag burst yun tank mo

ok na yung clear silicone sealant pero that would only be temporary, once a leak starts, you should take necessary caution, the leak may aggravate in time so better buy a new aquarium

meron ako nakita aquarium 1 piece glass sya, rounded corners so there are no seams either on the sides or bottom. di ko ask price, for sure mahal yun
