if you see E36 bimmer drivers doing that, most probably they experience their window falling into the door, its a common problem of the E36 in the US :bwahaha:

You know why some don't open the windows?
1) they don't know where the window switch is (if it is a new car)
2) they don't know where the window switch is (my parents owned their car for 3 years but up to now, di pa din alam kung saan yung switch) So they use the door.
3) new tint
4) newly washed (water stains on windows if opened)
5) sira ang window
6) mas mabilis buksan ang pinto than the window
7) preserving the window motor and mechanism

I also wonder why they open their doors instead of windows. So, I tried it. Mas convenient pa rin sa akin to open the window rather than the door.
