if you see E36 bimmer drivers doing that, most probably they experience their window falling into the door, its a common problem of the E36 in the US :bwahaha:

guilty ako jan. manual kasi window ng car, kaya para di maabala ung nasa likod.![]()
ginagawa ko din ito kasi yun driver side ng gsr ko wala sa alignment salamin, minsan nagscreech, masakit sa tenga
sa civic ko nakalock yung window kaya i also do this.
low teeeeccchhh
You know why some don't open the windows?
1) they don't know where the window switch is (if it is a new car)
2) they don't know where the window switch is (my parents owned their car for 3 years but up to now, di pa din alam kung saan yung switch) So they use the door.
3) new tint
4) newly washed (water stains on windows if opened)
5) sira ang window
6) mas mabilis buksan ang pinto than the window
7) preserving the window motor and mechanism
I also wonder why they open their doors instead of windows. So, I tried it. Mas convenient pa rin sa akin to open the window rather than the door.
ganyan din gawain ko nong nawawala sa alignment windows ko. hassle kasi iakyat tapos hindi naalign e hehe ngayon maayos na so balik to windows ako hehe
mas comfortable sila pag door unlike sa sa window feeling nila di nila ma aabot
baka nasa subconscious na nila after experiencing a failed spit landing event
i do it pag bagong car wash auto ko so the water won't streak on the windows. hehehe.
Not much of an issue. Both door or window can get well over. As long as toll was paid, and nobody got delayed. Worse of an issue is when you're behind of a stalled vehicle at a toll booth.
ganyan din ginagawa ko kapag bagong carwash, hahaha.Originally Posted by bilog
Galing din ako sa mga "pawis" windows na sasakyan kaya nakasanayan ko na din ang pagbubukas ng pinto sa toll gate. Kaso once, pagbukas ko tumama yung pinto sa semento sa baba kaya it served me a lesson. Ngayon, bintana na lang ang ibinababa ko para iwas gasgas o kupi pagbukas pinto.
Sa akin, I really need to open the door when refueling kc di ko maabot ung lever (beside the driver's seat) para mabuksan ung cover ng fuel tank ng adventure namin. This only happens when i'm wearing a watch on my left wrist, di kasya kamay ko. hassle hehe
for me i prefer opening the windows, water marks after carwash? well I always have my handy microfiber towel in my car. a simple wipe with a glass cleaner will do.
Oo nga kahit mga new cars minsan ganyan yung ginagawa nung drivers... I think nakasanayan na lang yan ng mga drivers, pansin ko majority of the people who do this are taxi drivers and chauffers.
you got the best answer pero hindi pwede sa toll gate, tatamaan ang toll booth. pagbili ng yosi at dyaryo na lang but you still have to open your window to tell the vendor... ILAG! heheheheOriginally Posted by bardigones
