roxas blvd, early 1960s. US embassy area, i believe.
wala diesel, dahil bawal (or night coding?) ang trucks sa roxas blvd noon.

Not so sure I think yung nasa taas yung Mc Arthur highway.
Looking at the sun shadow the picture is probably taken looking north.

    correction, po.
it's the old bonifacio monument at monumento in caloocan city.
liwasang bonifacio is in plaza lawton, beside the post office by the pasig river.

    the streets,
highway 54, later re-named epifanio delos santos avenue, is to the south.
to the north is samson road.
to the left is avenida rizal.
that's macarthur highway (yata!) to the right.

Thats a 1933 photo, highway 54 ,EDSA was built/started in 1940. Mc Arthur highway in 1928. The wider road at the bottom has to be Rizal Avemue/Avenida/Route3A. , And the top is Mc Arthur Highway (previously Route3A).

    googling edsa,

... originally built in the 30s during the quezon administration, and named north-south circumferential road,
it was renamed 19 de junio (rizal's b-day) in 1946,
    then re-named highway 54 in the 50s.
became epifanio delos santos avenue in 1959.

there's the exactsame picture in google, one of which has edsa scribbled blurredly on the south roadway, right or wrong. i can't read the other labels.
for some reason, the same picture appears multiple times in various locales.
it's probably the only surviving picture of that place from that era.
