If you aren't Hindu, do you care if you're not reincarnated as a cow? Well, it's a far sight better than being reincarnated as an ant.

Truth is, I often wonder about the afterlife... but then, since 99% of all the religions ever made tell me I'm not going to their version of heaven, I'm not sweating it.

Sandali lang... virgins in Paradise? I think we should all be Muslim...
Wouldn't you rather hang out in Heaven with the Care Bears?

To me... Heaven n hell is here on earth, If you are happy you are in heaven, if you are sad, you are in hell! If you do good to others, you are the angel. If you do bad, you are the devil . If we die now, then it's the end of the world for us. there's no such thing as reincarnation, life after death or eternal life! Kaya gumawa na lang tayo ng kabutihan sa kapwa. Tumulong sa mga nangangailan. at marunong mangontento sa mga bagay na mayroon ka! with this, maybe there will be little happiness!I like the song "Imagine" by John Lennon sana ganun ang mundo pero hindi e

The concept of Satan can bring about countless hours of debate.

Recently I am nursing a new theory about the traditional “Satan” or anti-God (you know, the one with red skin, pointy horns & long tail) – that this is not really true per se.

To put it in simpler terms – it is the “dark side” in each and everyone of us because of the free will that we have. Christian, Muslim, atheist, etc. everyday battle with their personal demons to live their lives. Though yes – it becomes twisted at times – what is deemed “evil” generally can be manipulated like it was God’s will (e.g. Bin Laden’s call for jihad, Catholic Church’s persecution of heretics, etc.).

Satan might just be representation of the anti-thesis of our moral conscience.

So what’s the difference between your advice and of the Bible’s? Isn’t the Bible another form of advise especially the New Testament – which is hard to flaw in terms of moral & ethics (e.g. love your neighbor, forgiveness, etc.). Can we also say that binobola mo lang kami like how you generalize the Bible also?

Btw, if there is no God… why keep referring to yourself or others as a god? If everyone’s a god then nobody’s a god (since the basic definition of a god is a supreme or higher being). The concept of a god is lost once you assume everyone is one.

Problem is that many people prefer to live in heaven here on earth by being the devil here on earth.

Helping others, doing good & being content with what you have isn't the definition of being happy for a lot of people and sadly, wealth & power is the definition of happiness for them.

For me... am in between the line on this.

I just can't fathom that non-believers are automatically doomed to hell.

As always - it will be up to God.

*flagg: Don't you know? I am a Carebear. Tenderheart, actually.

    ---

Atheist heaven? Depends on what flavor of atheist. For the the fundamentalist atheist, it's probably nothing. No afterlife. Nothing. They'd be gloating at the religious people, saying "I told you so!", but since nobody exists in the afterlife, they won't be able to enjoy being right.

For the agnostic or pantheist... or maybe the Nature worshipper, it'll probably be a treat. Being as one with the Universe... (My God... it's full of stars...)... far ouuuut... man... Nirvana!

My head tells me the former will happen... (spent many sleepless nights over this in my youth)... my heart hopes it's the latter.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

As theveed so eloquently illustrated, what we usually deem as Satan or the anti-God often actually presents itself in attractive forms, in order to draw more unsuspecting souls.

I remember an anecdote told to us once, about three minions of Hell who were brainstorming with Satan on how to best lure more souls to their side. As it turns out, the best idea came from the youngest demon, who proposed to spread the rumor among humanity that evil and Hell didn't exist; that it was just a figment of our imagination. This obviously won Satan's approval, since it would inevitably cause people to let their guard down and be less discerning about everything, making them more vulnerable to lies and deceit until it was too late.

Yup, to majority wealth n power is happiness every body is not contented with what they have. People are becoming devils, to achieve their happiness( heaven). That's why people have created different religions, each that suits its tradition to control the attitude and to discipline each population, so that there Happiness is of what there religion teaches Once people are converted, sometimes they change. Majority are not Nasa tao lang yan e. ... opinion ko to ha

    Seryoso na nga post ko:

If we study the etymology of the word "Satan"... it is a Hebrew word which simply means: obstacle. Hadlang. Harang.

    That's all Satan means.

That's why nagalit si Jesus and called Peter 'Satan' when Peter misunderstood the transfiguration. Hadlang kasi sya.

So tama si sir M2. Satan is that within us na humahadlang from us doing good.

Satan is not a person, King of Hell or whatnot. Satan is merely a anthropomorphism of this obstacle concept. Parang mga Care Bears... anthrpomorphisms.

And this is why, sa Book of Job, God is not the callous entity He seems at first glance. He was not making a wager with any single person (Satan) over Job's fate. The wager was if Job could transcend the obstacle that was himself.

It doesn't. But it's an invitation to find out the truth.

Hell must be one crowded place.
Indeed, but it keeps on getting bigger as well.

It's your choice and your own free will. But interestingly enough, yes you create your own destiny, whether "up" there or "down" there.

If you believe that it will be up to God, why having doubts on His Word? It is clearly written:
"But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, will have their part in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." - Revelation 21:8

Satan is also one of the names of Lucifer, who initiates and encourages the "satan" in us not to do good. Right or wrong?
