1993 - Floppy drives and disks, VHS, cassette, CRT monitors, 1x CD-ROM drive. Oh. Single and a dorm rat.
2015 - Mostly digital everything. Married with kids and homeowner. Yeah, I still have a CRT Toshiba TV. No choice. I'm stuck with it until it breaks. It's the TV for the guest room which is also my den.

noon-er...
QC circle to roxas blvd via edsa, in 45 minutes.
and 15 more minutes to roxas blvd-UN ave.
today... "i don't want to find out, first hand!"
Before: I manhandle a 30" Trinitron aperture- grille CRT TV upstairs and hope I don't get a hernia.
Now: I lug a 32" LCD TV like a book under my arm.
When i was in college, my car was a toyota starlet, full tank of gas was around 200 pesos, 9 pesos a liter, a pack of winston was 12pesos, red horse was 12 pesos also. May piso pa pati ang LRT

back in the 90s, i could overflow my gas tank with 300 bucks.
in the 90s, i settled for a 25 inch flatscreen crt, because the 28 incher weighed over 140 pounds. today, my cousin wants to give me his old 42 inch led, but i declined... "hindi kasya sa present location (where my 25 incher still reigns supreme), at baka mabuwal ng hangin.."
back in the late 80s, we would take joyrides in the lrt during lunch breaks.. sakay kami hanggang pasay rotonda and back.. all in under 1 hour.. ilan lang kami sa bagon..
back in the 70s, my daily allowance was 4 bucks. pamasahe and food. lakad pa ako nang 20 minutes, to save 5 centavos.
