pero iniisip ko rin na most of my time i spend in the office. at kung ang kasama ko most of my 24 hours a day ay ang mga colleagues na nagpapainit ng ulo ko, then, mas masahol yata.

I agree with this very much. Raising a child is not only about the financial factor but the emotional factor of being with him just as well. I let go of an opportunity to be assigned abroad by my former employer before (with an additional dollar salary on top of my peso salary which would be retained in Manila) solely on the fact that my eldest daughter was going to be left alone (i was still single that time) and I felt she was still in a stage where she had to see her father regularly.

Huwag ka matakot sa Maynila. Move to a good middle class or upper class area in QC-Ortigas-Makati-Alabang or Paranaque and put your kid in a good school. You won't regret being there for him when it matters most.

sama din ako bro. religion is the opium of the people. pero mukhang mahirap ng mag-introduce ng new religion.

i frequent the areas that can be considered safe and progressive. ever since, nag condo na lang ako and nawala na mga unecessary things that make me unproductive like walang katapusan traffic, trike, jeep, pedestrian, bus, kotong mmda etc. at least medyo kahit papano at peace ako. i work in ortigas, then I go to Fort, Mckinley, Eastwood, Greenhills, Rockwell. pag-out of town I only go to Clark, Subic, Tagaytay and farthest is Boracay.

but the thing is living in this communities has its disadvantages too in terms of it's making me weak and that false sense of security. 2 weeks ago, I went to Resorts World for food trip, movies, and some casino playing. I figure hey it's resorts world, it middle class to Class A country. I left resorts world at 2 am and siguro since naiisip ko naman i-explore ang area na yun ng Pasay, I decided to go deeper into Baclaran route (instead of U-turning to the Fort route then Guadalupe EDSA) then Pasay EDSA route back to Ortigas . i was imagining na kumuha ng isang expat house sa newport area, make it as stay-in house and also gawin ko income na din for visiting passengers/expats. so syempre, check ko yun lugar na yan

akalain mo, I got flagged down by 2 MMDA and 1 Police wearing a green uniform. and worse, I got flagged down by means of a simple flash light. siguro mga 3 cars kami na ginanun nila. nun marinig ko pa lang na mag-iimbento ng charges, I just ignored them and rolled up my window and sped away. parang wala lang hindi naman nanghabol. pero pano pala kung mga jackers yun or impersonating authorities. the thing is I got so used to living in Ortigas and Fort area where the authorities are more respectful, nakalimutan ko na meron pa palang Pasay na hanggang ngaun na time ng internet, eh magiimbento ng mga violations para maka-kotong. I researched the net and viola, most blogs are about Pasay cops and LGUs milking money from patrons of SM MoA, Resorts World, Macapagal restos as well as sa mga tiga-samin nagpupunta sa aliw theater. mga gago mga yun and to think we go to their respective turfs to spend money tapos gaganyanin ka lang nila. i'm sure may backer yan up to the higher ups kasi bakit naman sa pasig and taguig area, hindi naman ganyan. the personality of these places only reflect to the personality of the people on the top there. and maybe that's why at this time and age, na EDSA is main highway, eh sa Pasay may jeepney pa din na dapat wala na sa eDSA, na obviously ang cause ng jams dyan papunta MoA.

from now, on cross out Pasay from my list of lakwatsa lugar. kung gusto nila mabuhay like 19th century in the 21st century, then be my guest. I won't spend a single money in these places. sirain nila buhay nila, i don't care.

    ^ True.

Ladies take note, if your other half is abroad:

Warnings signs (chances are may kabit): pag may bigote at maboka ang lalake.

Safe (meaning faithful siya): pag born again Christian.

    (my observation lang)
