March 18th, 2012 10:17 AM #32Alam ko its a tough decision to make, pero kung ako ang tatanungin stay in Macau muna.

You can opt to stay away from them naman, keep in neutral.
Kung ayaw mo dito, why buy those and why go back for vacation in the first place?
Medyo hesitant, I understand. Pero pag nakasama mo na family mo dito + you're earning what you're earning now there which I presume is a sumptuous amount of money you'll never think about going back to Macau again.

kung same compensation and benefits, you are better off abroad. you pay your taxes abroad and there is no need to pay taxes here or even file an ITR
the income tax rate here is higher (32%) and there is a limit to tax shields (fringe benefits tax). as for cost of living (housing, gasoline, entertainment, etc), ikaw na mag input nyan.
but if you are given your present compensation plus 50% more, then it might be worth it as it will now be more or less the same
with what you are getting now

March 18th, 2012 12:27 PM #37kung single ka pa rin now.. and kung ipon mo now will enable you to live a good life for the rest of your life... then sige uwi... pero kung yung ipon mo ay di pa ganoong ka laki (ikaw rin siguro makapag sabi which is malaki which is maliit lang)... single ka pa nyan... then ipon pa...
if there is a way na you would still be an "expat".. dito ang assignment mo, but based in Macau ka pa rin ... i say that's the best solution... until magkapamilya ka.. then that's the time it will change the equation.. depends kung dyan ka sa Macau makapag asawa, or dito sa Pinas... at if your wife would prefer to be based here or abroad...

Knowing Pinoys, aya agad yan uminom. Beerhouse. So chicks dito, inom don, waldas pera dito at doon.
Pero syempre, nasa tao rin yan. Kung may willingness to save, magagawa mo talaga. Yun nga lang, temptation dito .. iba. :bwahaha:

salamat sa mga inputs nyo. sobrang down na talaga ako the past few weeks. especially after having a vacation in manila. saya talaga pag nandiyan.
tapos nakakadagdag razon pa umuwi are my colleagues here. ibang iba talaga sila. kasi they dont value work. if u reprimand them today, they are gone tomorrow. kasi nga sobrang daming opportunities for them. kaya bumababa ang standards dito.
i think what i've saved for the last 10 years will be enough for me and my future family. i enjoy a simple lifestyle naman.
pero ang talagang decision will come when i see my contract soon. i will let you know guys.....
