meron kasi ako ditong alak ( Carlos I ) na tira pa nung kasal namin, syempre hindi pa opened more than 6yrs na yun. nai-regalo ko sa LTO chief namin dito nung birthday nya last sunday. now lang ako napaisip na baka expired na yun, pero hindi ba lalong sumasarap ang alak kapag tumatagal? and familiar ba kayo sa Carlos I na alak? how much ang ganito? hindi kasi ako umiinom kaya wala akong idea sa mga alak.

AFAIK, alcohol gets better with age.

Tama ka pre, ang alak habang tumatagal lalong sumasarap and it becomes more expensive. Nagiging "aged" ika nga.No idea about the price though.

Paano naman kung beer? In cans? Meron kasi kaming beer sa bahay, uwi namin galing sa company party. Two years na yung nakalagay sa ref, eh since wala naman talagang umiinom sa amin, gusto ko nang itapon to free up space.

dunno about hard drinks but for wine...

wine if stored incorrectly turns to vinegar...

Wines and alcoholic drinks don't expire. However, liquers and beer do. Wines get better with age. Just make sure you seal the bottle tight and store it away in a place where it won't be exposed to direct sulight and is at room temperature.

Sabi sa knowledge channel may "life" cycle ang mga wine, tipong pag white it should be consumed within 5 years ng date, red naman 10... otherwise the acids will react and magiiba lasa.

Ewan sa hard, based on experience sa bahay, sobrang nagiiba hehe ang brandy nagiging rubbing alcohol ang tapang according sa mga friends ko nagraraid ng wine ng erpat ko hehe

alam ko alak eh di nag-eexpire...me tendency lang na maiba ang lasa but it depends in the way you stored it...

wine ay depende sa manufacturer...me wine na madali ang lifespan and must be consume within 3-5yrs...meron ding long term but must be stored in a proper manner para magtagal at mapreserve ang lasa

Wines reach their "peak" at varying times, depending on the wine. Check the Vintage date of the wine bottle.
98% of wines produced today are ready to be consumed when they hit the stores. Only your very good Cabernet, Bordeaux, and Ports etc. will likely last more than 15 years. The rest are probably best drunk within 3-5 years of the vintage date.

Brandy and Whiskey's can be stored longer than what it is expected though it must be tightly sealed for it to have the best taste. Some of the liquors today are aged before it is shipped and sold to liquor stores around the world. Some Liquors nowadays even went into age acceleration process like the Rhums(Tanduay & Emperador)--artificially aged.

Carlos I is a very good tasting brandy. It's a must & better to drink it without ice. Most Filipinos drink Liquors with ice. :D

Baka wine lang yata ang hindi nageexpire? Ewan ko lang sa whisky, brandy, etc. Yup yung beer may expiration pero nakatikim na kayo ng beer fresh from the factory haven of San Miguel? Sharap!!!

Carlos 1 nung last month sa duty free around 28 USD i think. May nabili kami dun funadador exclusivo around same price ng johnny walker
