Watching the press conference right now at Malaysia via CNN. The Malaysian authorities are now under fire from journalists regarding their delay on starting the search when they realized the airplane was lost.

Right now the fire theory (with the eventual incapacity of the crew) is the most convincing for me, given the reports of the changes to their altitude and flying out until the plane eventually ran out of fuel. However the biggest argument to this one is the fact that the course change allegedly was keyed in at least 12 mins before the last communication.
I'm no aviation expert but fire can very well disable electrical components such as the transponder and navigation systems if it was that severe.
We'll never know really, I do hope they find the wreckage and blackbox soon.
And... they could have worded that text message sent to relatives a lot better.
I'm very concerned that if this kind of thing happens to a PH based carrier (hope not), it may be a lot worst because of our lack of resources and coordination skills.Last edited by kotiko; March 25th, 2014 at 07:12 PM.

Suicide na pala tinitignan na anggulo. Kaya pala may kausap pa na babae yung pilot using a different sim before the flight. Nag-aaway kaya?

How can it be any worse than the Malaysian government employing a sympathizer of an enemy of the state at their national airline and letting him fly when he has publicly expressed resentment that his friend is in jail and is undergoing a messy separation...
...and then having military radar operators across the country caught literally sleeping at their posts and letting an aircraft with no identification transponder cross Malaysia without interrogating it or sending out squads to intercept...
...and then having your people trip all over themselves, giving conflicting statements, not knowing what the hell is going on, and refusing to even admit that it's possible that their own employee might have done it...
...and then treating the relatives of the missing like unwanted reporters at a secret military operation?
Malaysia just lost an entire plane with over 200 passengers. Can't get any worse than that.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
