From ABS-CBN news:

Prices of liquefied petroleum gas could rise by P50 per tank in October to reflect rising LPG prices in the world market, ABS-CBN learned Friday.

World LPG prices rose from $436 per ton to P515 per ton in September, which is equal to P4.70 increase per kilo or a 50-peso increase for an 11-kilo LPG tank.

"It's the law of supply and demand and demand is high in China and Japan. The problem is that winter season is increasing so the price increases may continue," said Arnel Ty, LPG Marketers Association president.

Local LPG prices have risen by P3 per kilo or P35 for an 11-kilo tank since January.

Total Petroleum Corp. said it would impose gradual price hikes for its LPG products early October.
