hmm... e di imbis na jueteng, maglaro nalang sila ng 4-digit, 3-digit. hehehe. legalize jueteng, and another underground tax-evading gambling regime will take its place. imo, this is exactly the situation of jueteng now (the illegal alternative to legal gambling)

I don't think that jueteng can be stopped, there's a huge pile of money involved, the gambling lords have oodles of money and can payoff or liquidate anyone who's going to squeal on them. It's been here since 50's or the 60's. Is it me or has anyone noticed that everytime there's an anti jueteng campaign, it's only the kubradors that get arrested and not the gambling lord himself?

May 25th, 2005 01:17 AM #26internet surfing..Gambling addiction is a compulsive need that can be devastating for the person and his family. Gambling addiction statistics gleaned from a study of co-occurrence of gambling and alcohol reveal that problem drinkers are more likely to have a gambling addiction problem. Compulsive gambling is not the addict's problem, but rather his solution for some serious underlying problem. One cannot blame gambling for an addiction because then the addict focuses only on the treatment than personal change. Gambling addiction is associated with other mental health problems like depression, anti-social personality disorder, mood disorders in many cases. Most people with compulsive gambling problems also have drug or alcohol problems. There is ongoing research about the actual causes of compulsive gambling..
..pede maging item ito sa ripley's believe it or not..

same difference to me. jueteng or not with the 1st family or even Erap, never did really care, as long as they still do their job for the country, ok for me.
