Jap Spitz

Hi guys,
I just got myself a 1.3 month old jap spitz. Cute dog actually. Just some questions:

Food: I just bought her a royal canine dog food na for fluffy dogs. I used to give her milk only but now balak ko haluan at medyo palambutin muna yung dogfood sa milk paunti unit. Okay lang ba ito?

Bathing: Hindi pa daw pwede paliguan so pinupunas punasan ko nalang muna ng bimpo once in a while after playing.

Vaccines: No shots yet. Pwede na ba for her first shot?

Observation: Parang tulog sha ng tulog...ganun ba talaga yun? pero pag gising naman nakikipaglaro naman. I'm just worried kung bakit parang antukin. haha. I bought her a huge play pen last night para mas malinis. I also want to avoid her licking dirt kasi. Tama ba decision ko. Napansin ko kasi umiiyak pag nilagay sa play pen..or baka hindi lang sha sanay pa?

Dogs sleep a LOT. Baka hindi ka lang sanay, is this your first pet?
Yung umiiyak, normal yun kasi bagong environment, hindi pa talaga siya sanay.

Alpha_one: I had a Pomeranian Spitz but I gave him to my GF already so I don't have much background in raising one.

Maybe Im just scared and paranoid coz the dog is still too small and looks fragile. Natatakot nga ako sa first shot niya kasi daw sobrang mangihina. Sana lumaki na.

Personally, I can't give any recommendations on shots or food. Although, all the dogs our family had slept a lot...

Bata pa yan, matutulog yan ng madalas habang lumalaki. Nothing to worry about.

About the play pen, di pa siya sanay. Since wala pa siyang experience, natatakot yan being in the play pen dahil it makes her claustrophobic. Make sure you keep the door of the play pen open so she can go out and learn to open the door. That way she can make it her own.

M2: What month mo siya pinabigyan ng unang shot? What do I do after the shot? Natatakot ako baka mamatay. huhuhu.

Yung play pen naman is see thru cage. Walang roof so very open siya. Hehe. Actually excited nako umuwi everyday to play with her. haha. Napakalambing na aso. Will go to you and sleep on your lap.

AFAIK wala pa din shot yung puppy... wala pang 2 months din yun sa amin.

1.3 months? tsk tsk terribly young requiring much attention. yes sir, milk with little mashed food for pups' okay. sleeping habit is normal sometimes more in a day. pag iyak's due to unfamiliarity, even an older dog will complain once in awhile. better to let him play openly sa loob ng bahay and get familiar with his surrounding and residents. the more na magiging playful siya and extrovert if you allow him the space to experiment. First shot is okay depende sa laki pero to be safe after 2 months na lang. distemper and influenza shot would be typical (if I remember correctly), at best visit your nearest vet since nasa right age na sya. what's the name?
