There is nothing wrong with our buses at the present, honestly!

    Ang mga DRIVER ang problema.

I watched History Channel i forgot the title of the show but it featured how Singapore is properly urban planned

Even to the smallest thing they take it into consideration.

How brilliant and how efficient ang layo sa estado naten ngayon.

    nakakalungkot at nakakainggit.

The whole system is the problem. Buses are too plenty and not really designed for quick embarking and disembarking. Drivers, as you mentioned, are ill trained, barumbado, and earns on commission hence they wait it out a lot. Buses can stop anywhere!!

Another thing, do we really need bus lines from Fairview to Alabang, Monumento to Baclaran, etc. all converging on EDSA?? EDSA needs only one bus line. If a commuter needs to go to Fairview, he takes another bus that travels from Quezon avenue to Fairview, running on the same bus type and bus stop rules that are applied on EDSA.

I tell you its the whole system we need to overhaul.

Portions of Quezon City was a planned urban development intended to be the capital of the country. Too bad that other areas didn't get the same attention.

We need more major roads that cross the entire city. C5 is okay but its now congested worst than EDSA.

I also agree here. C6 must be completed as a 6 lane road without stops just like this:

C6 and that NLEX - SLEX connector link will help, big time if you ask me. It will help decongest C5-EDSA and it will spread out development.

Now if only our gov't could get past that "pinagaaralan ng mabuti" stage...

Dapat double-decker bus, tapos yun doors nasa second level - yung bus stop is also elevated, sakto lang sa mga double-deck bus. Tignan natin kung meron pang sasakay in-between bus stops nyan :D

gayahin ang smart tunnel design ng Malaysia.

pag good weather, daanan ng mga vehicles, pag meron bagyo, daan ng storm waters para mabilis mawala ang baha sa Metro Manila.

(approximately $514m). The project was commissioned by the Government of Malaysia. The tunnel handles 30,000 cars per day and has been used 44 times to divert floodwater.

9.7km stormwater bypass tunnel, with a 4km dual-deck motorway within the stormwater tunnel.

SMART (Stormwater Management And Road Tunnel), Kuala Lumpur - Road Traffic Technology
Kuala lumpur is above sea level, manila on the other hand is below sea level. That is why there are flood control gates and pumping stations. So you will bore a tunnel under a road that is already below sea level? And incompetent people to manage those tunnels? I see thousands of dead people drowned in their cars the first time it rains.

The better solution is elevated highways. 2, 3 and even 4 level highways. Kalaban lang dyan yung mga residents ng exclusive subdivisions on both sides of edsa and C5.

Is-isa na sinusunog mga squater colonies. Sana naman pag nasunog na e huwag na hayaan makabalik.

Speaking of martial law, let's make it illegal for people living in the north of MM to work in the south, illegal for people who live in the south to work in the north, and illegal for people who live in the east to work in the west. They should live where they work or work where they live!

If only our government (elected officials and employees) would put the same kind of effort and forward thinking they employ to get kickbacks and perpetuate their power, to real public service.

Kaya naman natin itaas ang salary ng mga gov employees, para hindi na sila ma temp magnakaw.

kung tutuusin mas makakatipid pa nga tayo, kasi they will work more efficient kung manghihinayang sila na matangal sa pwesto.
