a submersible pump can suck water out from a pool while being submerged... standard use yan... for added protection, you can connect it to a circuit breaker na may GFI (ground fault interruptor).. a few milliamps short circuit pa lang ma trace na nya at cut off agad ang supply ng current.. therefore may level of protection... the ordinary circuit breakers (na mabibili sa mga suking hardware) only cut off the current when the maximum current rating has been reached (so say, 15amps).. assuming in a scenario na may tao sa pool at nag short, by the time the breaker cuts off current, it is too late, nakadaan na ang 15amps.... with the GFI, a few milliamps pa lang (which is still relatively safe), cut off agad ang kuryente... mas malaking chance na walang damage or irreparable injury ...
trade off lang, for a 15A or 30A rated GFI breaker, it's about 2 - 3x the price of a similarly rated ordinary circuit breaker... =(
