Funny that Tsikot people are up in arms when an undisciplined driver use name-dropping to get away from the cops. But now, we have a thread trying to promote ways on how to evade getting ticketed.

If you are looking for alibis to avoid being ticketed, that means you acknowledged that you broke a traffic regulation in the first place. You should pay up your fine.

Pag nahuli, Just talk politely to the officer.

But if all else fails, yun nga, napipilitan kang mag-name drop.

the only time i've been flagged down is on police checkpoints.

meron ako kaopisina dati na nahuli sa cubao area a few months ago. you know what she did? she bawled like a baby, ehehehehe. and it worked too, the police/traffic guy let her off with just a warning.

I just tell them that I didn't know... eh sa totoo naman talaga nde ko alam (tipong one way pala or no left turn). Tapos I just ask them to just give me the ticket para nde waste of time on my part. And this was in heavy traffic ha. amp. swerving daw...

One time naman I was in Makati, dami one ways eh hinde ko naman kabisado..so ayun nahuli ako..nagkataon pa expired license ko.

    don't break the law...

Not necessarily. Some cops are just out looking for lunch.

Btw, violations can be of the moving and non-moving type.

My friend is endlessly getting flagged down by the cops for the wierdest of reasons just because he looks young drives an L300FB. When he's in his 3 series or Expedition, he does not have the same problems. That's why sometimes, it does pay to have a good alibi or connection to one-up hungry gators on the road.

Even I had a run-in with cops for allegedly having 'too nice temporary plates' and 'too long a tow rope'.

Siyempre kung mali, dapat talaga aminin.

i think this is good.. sort of a "psy-war": not an excuse or alibi coz nagpapaticket ka naman..
