I'm thinking of taking up a degree in Management. I'm currently running a small business with my gf and it's growing well to the point that I just can't rely on books anymore. I only have free time at night and DLS-CSB offers BS-MGT as one of their courses. Being an Ateneo graduate, I've heard of some, uh, "horror" stories about CSB's quality of education. I normally couldn't care less about the school's name, it's what she could offer that matters to me. However, some La Sallites say that CSB has this reputation of being "bagsakan ng mga Lasalista." Is this true? Honestly, what do you think of College of Saint Benilde? Do you know of any other schools that offer nightly degree programs?
Thanks!

Nearly all my friends who got kicked out of DLSU-CCS ended up at CSB where some even got it to the Dean's List :D

Now that's a quick, disturbing reply lol.
What about their BS-MGMT night program, any info/comments?

Benilde graduate here... I got a college degree & post-baccalaureate there.
Quality of education? Pretty good... a lot of their instructors have industry experience. Night classes are also a notch better than regular classes since most that attend here are not part of the stereotypical Benilde crowd.
As Isuzoom said, the variety of courses is also good.

September 4th, 2006 02:14 PM #6i absolutely agree! i'm a graduate of mapua and when i was still a mapua student, i used to hear some mapua students and professors maligning Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) for being the 'bagsakan' of mapua kickouts. but there were many cases that those kickouts were able to redeem themselves and even topped the engineering board exams.

ako rin CSB grad.
noon, i tried ComSci sa DLSU, pero kulang lang ako ng 0.5 points para makapasok, kaya i tried naman ng BSBA-CA sa CSB, dun ako nakapasa, and naka graduate naman as DL. As CVT said, maraming magagaling na IT professionals galing CSB (ahem... hehehe).
eto, di naman sa nananakot ako (almost all schools have urban legends), pero maraming ghost stories dyan, lalo na sa S410-S409 -- girl na naka black na mahilig mag-seat-in, tapos lalakad papuntang sa harap (blackboard) tapos tatagos sa blackboard! hehehe

Have some friends at CSB and they are ok. They're not what you might think na superbobo or something like that. hehehe
Since you're an Atenean, why not take BS-MGT or any related course from say, UP Diliman, Ateneo Grad school or AIM?
Going to CSB with such mindset might take you off-course.Last edited by Horsepower; September 4th, 2006 at 10:44 AM.

As long as it is valid, bring a printed copy. Then, they will ask you to use one of the PCs there...
