With regards to that marketing by the Ayala group...

Does the marketing approach reflect the owners? I guess it was a marketing plan raised by the automotive group and subsequently approved by senior leadership.

It may not make sense but whoever came up with it knew very well the Filipino mindset that it pays to be associated with something premium.

yes... same reason Pinoy's save up for the new iPhone
    Donuts
Bubble Tea and brewed coffee - kahit sa house, di naman talaga umiinom ng tea and 3in1 ang coffee na sobrang tamis

The Ayala's must hire that person again as VW and their Chinese brands need help

how many units did the ordinary car owner buy, and how many units would the taxi operators have bought?

i will always do what i can do to help . i learn the meaning of integrity from the Ayalas - FZA , JAZA and their parents Don JAIME and Donya BEA and the Pagibig sa Dios Catholic Community and my Alma Mater - University of Santo Tomas .
That was why when MWSS ( i started as a cadet engineer in march 1 , 1982 ) was privatized in August of 1997 , i chose to work for Manila Water because of Ayalas‘ reputation of being honest , making things happen and caring . I am a civil engineer , a sanitary engineer and has completed a masters degree in management ( academic units only ), among others . i owe the Ayalas for what iam now .

Tapos after ilan years lagi nasasabugan ng gas tank.

And dito talaga nasira ayala = manila water.

Oh kita nyo bumabanat pa ng back to its old glory.

About sa honda, sino ba mas sikat at pinupuntahan? Yuchengco chinese group or ayala kastila group? Syempre si yuchengco. Its honda quezon avenue in true quezon city!!!

So tsikoteers ano natutunan dito eh be functional wag illusyon.

Oo nga pala may topic ako ipopost about street food bakit napagiwanan ang pinas. We have a bad pasosy culture because of the kastilla.

if you typed straight english, or more formal, not-street-vernacular, more folks might take pains to read.

what did they expect to accomplish, back then, when they suggested that their cars may not be used as taxis?
High resale value..minimal chance of tampered odometer due to high mileage (most common on taxi)

for the car owners' benefit, probably, precisely because of this mind-set.
but tampering...? i think every other bayan seller has access to that, regardless of brand.

but how does that translate to hondaphils' profit?
income from repair and maintenance, would have been about the same, regardless of who owned the car.

Exactly. High resale value benefits the consumer, not the car company.

My guess is that Honda lost a ton of potential sales just because "sosyal" sila.
