    I'm extremely favorable to homeschooling, but a private teacher is a good option. In Brazil, the country where I'm currently living, homeschooling is forbidden by law, but I'm favorable to homeschooling. Public schools here are facing too many problems with the organized crime, and nearly every for-profit school is going more about the profits and quality goes down...

    But some social skills developed at school are helpful for life.

    +1. my wife is a college professor but i would not even think of homeschooling our kid. having good social skills will get you farther than just being extremely intelligent.

    besides would you deny your kid in having that first school crush
