December 3rd, 2006 06:20 PM #1I have a friend who worked in Saudi for a year and he's in the Philippines having his annual vacation. Na realize nya na ayaw na nyang bumalik sa Saudi to work and he just sent his resignation through email sa employer nya kasi hindi nmn fair ang treatment ng employer nya within the company.
As expected, the employer does not expect this from him at wala nmn silang magawa para pabalikin sya.
This time, yung employment agency nya is harassing sya at tinatakot sya na bibigyan daw sya ng hold departure order para nde na sya makapag abroad ulit.
Let it be known na wala syang iniwan na utang sa Saudi at ang employment contract nya is unlimited. So nde specified kung 2 , 3 yrs etc.
Ang question ko. May power ba yung employment agency na bigyan sya ng hold deparure order?
Sa opinion ko kasi ay wala dahil wala nmn syang ginawang criminal record sa philippines at kelangan may court order or warrant of arrest para magkaroon sya ng hold departure order.
ANo sa tingin nyo?

walang power ang agency. re sa threats..pwede ka mag file ng complain sa POEA, DOLE or pa blotter mo sa local baranggay sa mga threats na ginawa ng agency...........

Kasi worried yung friend ko na mag apply for abroad dahil baka harangin sya sa immigration.
Ang alam ko, pwede nya icheck sa immigration kung may hold departure order sa kanya. Although parang waste of time nga kasi I agree na BLUFF lng talaga ng agency yun kasi wala silang magawa dahil ayaw na ngang bumalik nung kaibigan ko sa company nya.

the saudi company, he worked for earlier to block his entry to saudi if working for a competition... 1 year yata muna syang magpapalipas, and if malakas ang dating employer pwede lifeban.

don't believe that, la sila magagawa kung ayaw na ng tao, at nag send naman siya ng resignation, bro 2x ko na ginawa ito sa dati ko na mga company, sa akin nga di ko tinapos ang contract pero wala naman naging problem.

Pwede p nmn sya mag apply sa ibang countries at may better option pa din.

kung iyong passport niya may stamp exit re - entry at valid pa contract niya min of 6 months bago sya pwde bumalik sa SAUDI or change passport n lamang siya if SAUDI niya gusto bumalik but kung sa ibang bansa ok lang same passport pwde niya gmitin wla karapatan agency pra give instruction ang immigration pra sa hold departure niya ang nkita ko lang problema sa knya kung sakali bumalik sya sa SAUDI and join other Company at mlaman dati niyang employer pwde sya bigyan ng problema dapat gawin ng fren mo huminggi sya ng no objection certificate sa dating employer.
Sa working contract wla company na give unlimited contract ... khit 2 yrs - 3yrs pa iyan.

Korekek ka diyan, OilSlick. Matagal na ako naga-abroad, pero once na umalis ka na, wala na pakialam yung agency na nagpa-alis sa iyo. Bakit naman sila magi-issue ng HDO sa immigration? Alam kong binibigyan nyan, yung mga may kaso sa atin. Marami na akong kasama na ginawa ito, pero ni minsan, wala namang humabol na agency sa kanila.
Baka nagsumbong yung Saudi employer sa employment agency na nagpaalis sa kaniya, kaya siguro ganun. Tama ba?
