let's quantify the total cost of ownership.. it's hard to do a comparo of a 2nd hand and a brand new vehicle... just saying it's "mas matipid" isn't enough for me...
323
+ better engine output (est 110hp)
+ VERY roomy interior, matches the roominess of the '96 Accord
+ good handling
+ long list of feature for the GLX model (8-way adjustable driver's seat, foglamps, 10-disc cd changer, power-everything (cept antenna), ABS)
- it's an old car, 'nuff said
- poor resale value
190K - acquisition cost
116K - fuel cost for 3 years (assuming 10K km/year, P29/L, 7.5km/L)
22K - comprehensive insurance for 3 years
60K - repair for 3 years

388K
Picanto
+ it's brand new and unique! cool looking
+ good for city driving (daring in and around lanes, parking)
- cramped! it's a subcompact!
- engines is just WEAK, 64hp anyone?
? resale value of the new Kia's are still untested
320K - acquisition cost
50K - interest (assuming that you'll finance your acquisition thu their in-house program)
87K - fuel cost for 3 years (assuming 10K km/year, P29/L, 10km/L)
45K - comprehensive insurance for 3 years
0K - warrantied repair for 3 years
===
502K
so, if you go with the 323 you'll save yourself around 114K for the first 3 years.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
