Go to a chicken feed store and buy their anti tick shampoo.

Its in a sachet and should be mixed in water to dilute it.

Shampoo the dog with it and leave it for 5 min then rise.

In bad situations shampoo then rinse the face and muzzle of your dog and dry him.

Leave the mixture and it will continue to kill ticks and grown garapata and eggs for about a couple of weeks.
Nowadays i shampoo my dog with bearing shampoo anti flea every weekend and ok naman.

Before this season it was every 2 weeks. Napansin ko that there was a lot of ticks on my beagle thus i did the chicken shampoo thing and she became fine.

After 2 weeks, i checked anf meron na naman so i shampooed her once a week and naubos din.

She wants to.sleep in wet grass due to the hot weather.

mas maiksi buhay ng mga kuto ng ibon kesa sa aso. kaya kungbyan yung gagamitin mo, kulang yan.

Fleas? Eto experience ko.

a. they are mostly acquired (or the eggs) in grassy or soily areas.
b. if you have a neighbor with flea infested dogs, the eggs can be transmitted.

My dog (a beagle) is an indoor dog. Bihira kami lumabas (tamad ako and treadmill ang exercise nya). Kung lumalabas, we just avoid the grassy and soily areas and immediately gives him a bath as soon as we get home, tapos sinusuyod ko yung balat nya after drying to get the eggs.

Pag may signs, I use frontline, but rarely..... Siguro mga once a year lang ako nag aapply.

mabisa ang asuntol, ang amoy lang nya ang ayaw ko.
try nyo SEVIN, almost no smell sya(in sachet / powder form) mabibili sa mga poultry/agricultural supply stores.
and also you have to nuke the infested area where your dog stay using the SEVIN diluted in water.
pwede rin sya for dry application; ginagawa ko pang dust(pulbo) sa dogs, 1 tbs SEVIN combine with 1 cup of cornstarch. laglag lahat ang pulgas.

Anyone tried using the electronic pest control being sold at suking ace hardware? I heard from friends na mabisa daw ito. Recommended use is to plug the device for 7 consecutive days at pansin daw talaga na mawawala yung mga peste. Mahiram nga muna, bago ako bumili hehehe

household sprays will kill them, but one can apply them on limited surfaces only. if your garage is not big, you can try spraying it extensively with a dozen cans, taking care to see to it that even the hidden nooks get sprayed... but there is that lingering after-effect of heavy spraying that one has to consider.
we once had extensive flea infestation in our workplace. we had to hire an expert, who closed the entire structure and gassed it for a couple of days. any animal that needed oxygen to live, died. none of the contents had to be moved.
it was very effective, but i do not know how much it cost.

carbaryl (sevin) is toxic to humans and other animals, and is suspected to be carcinogenic.
malathion is an organophosphate insecticide which downs exposed humans.

i do not know how long the lingering effects of these poisons are.

yung mga askals ko sa bahay kapag nanganak at maraming pulgas mga tuta, baygon water based iniispray. nalalaglag mga fleas then saka paliguan. patay talaga mga pulgas. yung mga powder at shampoo na anti fleas hindi rin masyado effective. mas ok pa yung sa shampoo ko ng mga manok panabong like wash out, mite free, zero mite, effective sa pulgas at garapata.
