una akong nalulong sa gitara noong college days ko (around '92 / '93).. back then it was a lumanog acoustic... chords lang talaga ako nun.. basta may jingle songhits.. ayos na..

when i got assigned sa US for work and was suffering from a broken heart.. i got a chance to watch lisa loeb live up close performing... napabili ako ng gitara sa US nun (acoustic).. started self teaching.. got some references.. doing some scales.. ganun.. graduated to a mexican made fender strat with amp.. gabi gabi ako nun nag aaral.. solo ko yung apartment since my room mate was always never to be found...

when it came time to come back home here in manila... nag ipon na ng alikabok... about 2 years ago i started disposing of my gear (marami rami na akong naipon na gear nun)... now.. i still have the following:
1. yamaha acoustic..
2. a yamaha rhythm machine (yung may drum tracks and you can play along with your guitar)..
3. pedal board (that can accomodate upto 4 effects- SKB yung brand.. it's somewhere in the internet)
4. toneworks effects - i think naka tago pa yung distortion, ax1b for bass guitar, and another 1 i can't remember now...

anybody interested in acquiring these? i'll make a complete list pag uwi ko ng manila (i'm overseas now on a business trip)..

sowry. tagal ko hindi nasagot. hehehe high school band was named Rain, College Band was named Bent on Crickets (we won a band concert at tivoli royale several years ago..2001 ata..batch party ng freshmen ng ateneo...guitarist was kakoi of barbie's c and singer is now vocalist of narda)

last band is named Bog. we had the same manager as Sandwich and Pan (2 former members of Yano)..had to quit because had to foucs on my studies and band sked was getting hectic (tours to davao na..mind you that i kept my parents in the dark nung time na yun)..they didnt know that i was in a professional band til my mom saw me playing at studio 23's breakfast! buko! hahaha..parted ways with the band a few years ago pero sabi naman sakin na they'll wait for me after i graduate..met with the drummer nga a couple of months back nga e..kinukulit ako na bumalik na. haha sabi ko next year na! lapit na! nag session din ako once sa kanila last year..sobrang nangawit daliri ko! hahaha dehins na sanay!

my 1st gig was on highschl. hehe until now the video of the gig makes me laugh.

started turning serious in playing during my college days. played occasionally on diff gigs., bars especially

influence: alice in chains, korn, deftones, metallica, guns n roses, rage, eheads, etc

ghoundz: heheh lupet nga nila audz at nino. syang si allen! R.I.P bud

our band was featured before on PULP, mtv ink, erg....
miss the days when we were still playing..

wow. dami palang gitarista dito. ako hindi ako marunong mag gitara e. hehehe. pero nabibilib talaga ako sa marurunong mag gitara. lalo na ung mga tumutugtog ng mga neo-classical.

may guitar lessons nga ako dito ni yngwie malmsteen saka ni michael romeo(symphony x). pinapanood ko lang. hehehe. hirap pag-aralan e. grabe daliri nung 2 na un. parang 10 ata daliri. wahehehe.

na-adik ako sa gitara eh. haha! wolfgang mahirap talaga. hanggang riffs lang ako, pero sa metallica, nakumpleto ko fade to black, all thanks to powertab. :P

di naman nasusukat yung galing ng isang gitarista o bassist sa speed lang eh. it's also the writing and composing of music. sobrang lupit ng greyhoundz. tumugtog kami dun (bandido yung name namin), and i got a chance to watch them. VIP seats pa nga eh. dun mismo sa stage kami nakaupo. any one of you went to the greyhoundz album launch? hehe :D

dude naman! di ka naman nagsasabi. dapat pupunta ako dun. hehe kaso wala akong kasama kaya tinamad nako. sayang!

Hahahahaha........Those Garage days with Kimpoy and Jerrky brings back a lot of memories.

Remember the studio we frequented sa "tengk"? Yung ang may ari mala alice cooper na may alagang malaking sawa?

Played the guitars, played the drums, dillydallyed with keyboards. never naging expert kahit saan sa tatlo.

Still owns an RJ acoustic guitar.

natuwa nga ako nung nakita ko reply sa post ko. practice lang daw ako makukuha ko rin lyrics ng "always with me, always with you" . hehe

it was meant as a joke. it just shows na i've seen better days with my guitar. tagal na ni jo sat. tumatanda na rin ako.

hindi ko malilimutan yung sa "tengk". hayup yung studio na yon. pag wala ka atang pambayad, ikaw papakain sa sawa. hehe

saka di ba nung minsan nag-practice tayo ron nung drive ni kimpoy yung tamaraw niyo, nagbiro pagdaan natin ng humps. natanggal manibela!!! hehehehe namputsang manibela yan, kumakalas mala-f1. yung nga lang iba feeling pag umaandar ng walang manibela.....
