Any recommended 6kva genset? Mostly kasi 3kva ang binebenta. How about yung motorstar na brand? Meron 6kva na worth 19k lang. Meron kasi ibang brands like nittoo, powermann, blackstone parang same same at generic lang na nilagyan ng brand price range of 11k to 15k any feedbacks sa chinese copy gensets?

Tama ka halos china generic na nilagyan lang ng brand ang mga murang gensets. Kung afford mo, get honda. 3 to 4 times more expensive pero trusted yan kahit sa ibang bansa. For bigger rating like 6kva, denyo yung nakikita ko.

Pero isipin mo din kung gaano kadalas mo gagamitin.
Sa case namin, oks lang china kasi bihira naman gagamitin at hindi naman for long duration e.g. 12 hours or more. Kung ikaw yung tipong gusto ng convenience i.e. aircon kahit brownout, go for bigger and reliable brands. Ako electric fan oks na so smaller capacity lang ok na.

Kahit umikot ka sa raon, evangelista at sta. cruz, wala ka makukuha na true rated na 6kVA output dyan, mga sticker lang yan kung china made yan, yung binilhan ko ng engine and dynamo, plan ko sana kumuha nung silent type 5 or 6kVA na motorstar, priced at 42k, diesel, sabi nya sa akin wala rating na ganun, 4kVA lang yan, yung mga nakikita ko raw na stickers na 5500, 6500, 6000 etc.. hindi kVA rating yun, parang model or series rating.

Yung 6kVA at 19k, petrol engine yun paps, sa lakas ng consumption per hour, miinis ka gamitin.

Laging rated output titingnan mo. Max yun so wag ka lalagpas dun for extended period of time. Yung nakasulat na max rating ay malamang max surge yun. Saglit lang kaya ng genset ang surge rating.

Btw, add ko lang mga paps.. Yung mga direct coupled gensets na nasa evanelista, raon and maliliit dynamo, they run at 3600 rpm, kasi 2 pole ang generators nya, kaya maliit ang dynamo, so it means, highspeed and mas mabilis rin ang depreciation, and run it at full load or not, it will alway run at 3600 rpm as your 60 Hz frequency depends sa rpm mo.

most condos don't have room for even the smallest generator. considering the noise level if you have a small patio, it sure would irritate you and the neighbors in addition to possible carbon monoxide exposure. your better option is to purchase an inverter and a considerable deep cycle battery sufficient for the duration and expected load.

there is no such thing as an "indoor generator", unless 1.) you intend to commit suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning, or 2.) you are referring to a bicycle driven generator, the one that you pedal to be able to watch tv.

Ganun din akala ko dati, that's why i was wondering why condo dwellers were at the lobbies charging their phones.

Seems different condos have different policies on generator power; some only provide power for the common areas, some isang outlet lang or ilaw for each condo, and maybe the entire unit for the upscale ones.

Truth is, kung may Honda dito sa amin nagtitinda (brand new ha) yun ang bibilhin ko. well, 2nd of course Robin. Kaso wala eh, so I ended up buying a Denki rated 3200w.

hmmmn... subukan mong magtanong sa mga stores sa binondo or sta cruz / raon. magsama ka ng friend.
you: gusto ko sanang bumili ng "indoor" type genset (generator set)
sa: 'yun sir (pointing to a genset), pang- indoor 'yun.
your friend: ako, gusto ko rin bumili! pero gusto ko "outdoor" type.
sa: (pointing to the same genset) pwede rin 'yun pang "outdoor" sir! :confused:

Generators are just... Generators.

afaik, mino- modify lang nila ang mga "enclosures" para maging suitable for
indoor or outdoor use. professional dealers and / or engineers knows that.

there are rules and regulations on keeping / installing generators in condos, estalishments, etc.
better know these first. baka kasi mas malaki pa ang gagastusin mo sa installation kesa sa
bibilhin mong generator.

re your question, sorry sir, it's been years na kasi last time na makakita ako ng mga portable generators
(less than 3kva) sa raon / binondo areas at saka lately, sa mga ace hardwares na lang.
meron namang mga tsikoteers na professional dealers / suppliers. sigurado ka pa! :thumbup: good luck.
