I tried the promate 3000w today because of scheduled brownout.
    Maingay siya hehehe

I think I will go for a smaller genset maybe 1500 watts and make a big enclosure to make sufficient ventilation.

Electric fan, tv, modem and router, and laptop lang naman.

If you have sandbags i read that you can enclose the gen set keeping some space in between since its aircooled.

Dirt/sand seems ton have very good sound deadening properties.

Or dig a hole anf put the set inside

Pack it high enough so its higher than the gen set and it will be more silent

E yung egg cartons kaya stapled to fiber board?

Also, meron ba gumagawa ng muffler for small gen sets so we can replace those ineffective mufflers with better ones?

    Searched the net.
Acoustic foam egg tray design maybe of use but you to make sure it does not burn from the genset heat.
Im thinking double wall enclosure with acoiustic foam i n the middle.

Yung muffler, kaya yan ifabricate sa atin. Ok daw motorcycle muffler.

One serious consideration will be engine temperature.

Mine is a concrete enclosure with a sound proof metal door. Noise reduced down to about 20% level.

You want a generator house to hush that vociferous genset and at the same time safe, use metal tin roofing material riveted to g.i. metal wall studs. Make a double wall system with Fiberglas noise batts for noise and heat insulation. The volume of this enclosure approximately three times the dimension of the genset in cubic meters and provide vent system capable of around ten times air exchange per minute. Also provide for exhaust extension. You can make the panels collapsible for storage.

Hey thanks for the tip. Baka may diesel na silent pa ano. Punta ako ng Baler, Quezon sa 24, uwi ng 26 and both ways dadaan ng Cabanatuan. Kaso malamang walang time mamili, unless nasa daan talaga.
