I got this Dr. Marten's pair last month. Medyo heavy nga lang sa paa but very durable and i worn it most occassions. Kahit sa office sinusuot ko rin.
Check their site, its cool!

Based on experience, I would choose Hi-Tec over any other brand locally available, field tested and trail-proven na.
Sir Otep, the "Salomon" brand in your sample picture is a very good one...too bad walang ganyang available brand dito sa pinas. This are classified as technical scrambling shoe, designed for daypacks, at syempre designed for us who wear them casually.

How about just buy cheap, but rugged and comfortable ones (in-sole gel sa heel, and/or good arch support + steel toe) instead? That way kahit pangharabas mo hindi ka manghihinayan dahil mura lang siya, pero comfortable enough to let you forget worrying.
Most of the time yung mga hiking shoes have hard soles, which is good for abusing them but not much for comfort.

I'm looking for a good compromise between quality and price. I think I;ll check out those Merells. The FILA's also sound interesting.
I'm going to SM [Baguio] this weekend. Balitaan ko kayo.

May 8th, 2007 05:40 AM #36Don't go for CATerpilar na brand, the tahi is not good...kinailangan ko pang iparestitch sa Mr. Quickie after less than two years (hindi pa daily use yun).
Doc Marten's is good and comfy sa paa pero mabigat...parang worker's shoes.
The Merrell and Northface seems good...kaso near P5000 na.

Hi guys, I'm back. I was at SM Baguio last Sunday and ended up with a pair of FILA Trail Runner shoes. It's supposed to be a blend between a hiking and running shoe. It's a simple low cut design predominantly in black. I'll try to post a photo later. It cost Php 1,999.95, I think. Sounds fair enough.
Also saw shoes wearing the Hi-Tec brand. Is this a good brand also? The North Face shoes were way too expensive but looked uber cool.
