hanapin ko yung memorandum ng bfp re: prohibition sa mga tao nila na mag alok ng mga fire extinguishers... pwede din kayo kumontak sa bfp-iact (integrity and anti corruption team) siguradong di nila palalampasin yan... pwede niyo text dito sa mga numbers na to, para maimbistigahan.. be sure to give sufficient leads, like names and assignments para masustain investigations nila...

hope this will clarify. there are diff types of fire ex. the one with the gauge on it, its dry chem, monoammonium phosphate, definitely, it will never expire. but the stored pressure may go down, thats when sabi nila, expire na yan. actually, pahanginan lang, in layman's term, to expel the chem inside. the other one, with no gauge on it, is a gas type FX. most common are the co2. its being used for electronic and other similar devices which may caught fire. clean agent kasi, no residue. it has expellant gas inside, similar to aerosol sprays. pag may leak, wala na talagang laman yan. thats why it has warning in the cylinder, do not test. best thing to do, contact the manufacturer directly, its cheaper for them to refill your fx. almost 50% kasi ng unit cost nyo, goes to the dealer/inspector.

Reviving this thread. We bought this fire extinguisher in 2011 and totally forgot about it. Pa recharge ko sana, ma che-check kaya nila ito kung gumagana pa sa charging station? img_20220303_080607_1.jpg

Yep they can check naman. Kaya mas gusto ko yung green vs this one, don't have to worry about it expiring. Mahal nga lang.

Yung HCFC-123 ang laman or similar. "Clean" fire extinguisher, no residue. Red meron din kami for warehouses, blue (AFFF) for the kitchen. Dry chemical yung tawag sa red. Yan yung white powder. Messy and tumitigas sa katagalan but yan ang cheapest.
