gano ba katagal bago ma-expire ang fire extinguisher? (DRY CHEMICAL type)
1year lang ba talaga katagal? kasi every year nagpapa-refill ako.

eto mas nakaka-bwisit. nagaapply ako new business permit.
bumili nalang ako sa DIY shop. 5years before ma-expire...

yup yup yup. Hanap buhay ng mga bumbero yan. Although it is a form of corruption or harrassment, but it is still better than asking for money outright.

Ako po nag check ng Firex dito sa planta namin, usually abroad is Five years ang warranty pero because of environmental factors wala daw local company na magbibigay ng 5 years warranty dito sa atin, pero we conduct a fire fighter training twice a year pinapagamit ko yung mga lumang firex namin mga six years old na lahat naman ok, madali lang naman kasi maintenance niyan dahil compressed tank lang naman, di ko lang alam kung ganyan din takbuhan dito sa Binan kasi Safety engineer namin ang nagaasikaso ng mga permit

kotong tlga yang mga bumbero when it comes to that,
yearly fire inspection dito, yearly pinapabili kami ng fire extinguisher. kung titingnan mo yung price, sobrang taga sila.

what we do is hanap kami sa yellow page then pa fax ng quote sa kanila, tapos i-mu-mudmod ko sa mukha nila yung gusto nilang price...hehehe para mas makamura din. :D

    Yep kotong iyan.

Yung ibang imported na firex (e.g. First Alert) walang defined lifespan dahil may check button sila sa ibabaw to see if the contents are still ok.

hope this will clarify. there are diff types of fire ex. the one with the gauge on it, its dry chem, monoammonium phosphate, definitely, it will never expire. but the stored pressure may go down, thats when sabi nila, expire na yan. actually, pahanginan lang, in layman's term, to expel the chem inside. the other one, with no gauge on it, is a gas type FX. most common are the co2. its being used for electronic and other similar devices which may caught fire. clean agent kasi, no residue. it has expellant gas inside, similar to aerosol sprays. pag may leak, wala na talagang laman yan. thats why it has warning in the cylinder, do not test. best thing to do, contact the manufacturer directly, its cheaper for them to refill your fx. almost 50% kasi ng unit cost nyo, goes to the dealer/inspector.

Yep they can check naman. Kaya mas gusto ko yung green vs this one, don't have to worry about it expiring. Mahal nga lang.

Yung HCFC-123 ang laman or similar. "Clean" fire extinguisher, no residue. Red meron din kami for warehouses, blue (AFFF) for the kitchen. Dry chemical yung tawag sa red. Yan yung white powder. Messy and tumitigas sa katagalan but yan ang cheapest.
