Are Filipinos Brand Conscious?

It's worse now with social media.

I was fitting glasses yesterday and I asked the SA which one is better and she said the second kasi kitang kita *brand name* Ako naman, I find that a negative. Also, I was asking which one looks better on my face, not which FRAME is better

i am sort of brand-conscious, because i believe some brands are better built than others, and will likely serve me better.
but to buy an item because of the brand...?

I have to admit that for first time purchases I buy the brand with a good reputation (quality and service) But I won't make a choice based on which logo is more visible, I find that ridiculous, like with glasses, ang basis dapat anong bagay sa face.

kung clothes and shoes.. i tend to be brand conscious.. coz of the quality.. mas tumatagal din vs local brands... there are also local brands that I love.. like Collezione and Onesimus..

its really hard for local brands to compete with foreign counterparts.

I remember when I bought riding shoes sa Marikina.

They can use better sole & better leather pero you will need to pay extra... in the end, it will be too expensive na.

Still holds true with most cars and only because those Reliable Auto Dealers and Resellers are hoarding units that can qualify for the three characteristics.

yup... mas mahal ang LG (TV) since mas maganda naman talaga OLED compared sa QLED...

Phones - wala na akong alam na ibang Korean brand

Fridge/Washing Machine/Microwave - I think Samsung has a better price range compared to LG
