Makes me wonder bakit nga ba poor country tayo and yet everything is so expensive. I was surprised that US products are cheaper in Europe than PH.

Yun nga. Napansin niya kahit mahal handbags and Lego ang dami pa rin bumibili. Kaya naisip ko brand conscious nga ba talaga Pinoy. Kasi mas maliit naman average salary natin than DE, FR or NL pero Filipinos buy the same designer goods. I dressed really simple but decent during the visit of our VP para nga maawa sakin tapos nasira plano ko kasi dami daw pera mga employees sa PH.

    kaya kahit mahal bili parin

    hindi dahil mayaman

Weird e marami naman OFW na pinoy. Lahat ata pinoy may kamaganak sa abroad. If they can afford expensive items then they can probably afford to travel for shopping?

kasi nga people want nice things

    kahit maliit sweldo pinag iipunan

that's not how it works for most people

Yes exactly. I think that's how our VP feels nga.

It should only be a small portion of the salary.

I thought I read mamamatay na sila HAHAHA

So we are similar to the US na consumer culture. It seems like much of Europe is above or beyond just being consumers.

Both my boss can get an Audi as a car plan pero our AVP bought an Opel and our VP a Golf para no payments needed.

It's an assumption really as that's where one would most likely take an expatriate boss (unless they specifically request for Tiangge then there's Greenhills). That's why in Makati CBD and BGC, you will see that the office crowd really buy at Market!Market!, SM, and Landmark. They will probably go to High Street, Glorietta and Greenbelt to walk around and perhaps eat.

How impractical is that? It took over a month before they got to use it. Ang matindi pa, they budgeted 150k to make it RICEY!

Bumili pa sila nung mga pots and pans na worth hundreds of thousands na hulugan din!

I saw this couple's finances evolve, discovered them Dec 2016. Their online business picked up in 2017 so that's when they bought the hilux, rented a bigger apartment and started with skin care such a GLUTA IV. At totoo yung sinabi mo re owning a vehicle, puro road trip na sa North and South. The sad thing is their only son studies in the same school If I were a parent the biggest chunk of my budget would go to my child's education and housing.
