In case na-post na ang mga ito, pasensiya na. Ang daming pages na kasi. Some terms not to use when in other countries or dealing w/ foreigners:

1. "Rubber shoes" when you're referring to athletic shoes. Iisipin, sapatos na pang-ulan ang tinutukoy mo. Even better, be more specific w/ the type, i.e. "running shoes", "basketball shoes", "tennis shoes", etc.

2. "Comfort room" when you need the toilet. You will get a puzzled look. Once in Australia, I asked for the "bathroom" in a restaurant. The waiter said, "Sorry mate. We don't have bathrooms, but we do have a toilet."

3. "Polo shirt" when you mean "button down shirts." You will be offered T-shirt w/ collar, which is called "sport shirt" in SM.

4. "I will pass by your place," kung meron kang susunduin. More accurate to say, "I will pick you up."

5. "I will go ahead," when you actually mean you're leaving already or saying good bye.
