Blame game has begun, starting with the people who needs to use more of their grey matter and less of their egos...
Trillanes's camp tags Esperon, Gonzales in Makati mall blast
Officials of the Arroyo administration maybe behind the blast that ripped through an upscale mall in Makati City Friday.
This was the statement issued to media through a text message by the office of former Navy officer and neophyte senator Antonio Trillanes IV through a text message.
Trillanes’s camp tagged National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzalez and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Gen. Hermogenes Esperon as possibly behind the incident.
It added that the incident was similar to "Oplan Greenbase" which allegedly included in its plan the bombing of the Davao international airport and the Sasa wharf in 2003.
It was allegedly planned to pass the blame on the armed separatist group Moro Islamic Liberation Front in the hope of driving them away from Liguasan marsh where a project of the government is located.
"Oplan Greenbase" was also one of the issues disclosed by junior officers involved in the failed 2003 Oakwood mutiny. They alleged that the plan was executed to give government a basis to impose strict measures and eventually justify the declaration of a state of emergency.
For his part, Gonzalez appealed to government rivals not to take advantage of the situation by making statements that implicates the government.
"Would you believe that? I think this is probably an opportunity to make an appeal to whatever group or individuals not to take advantage of this kind of situation," Gonzalez told ABS-CBN News.
"This is a terrible incident. Let us set aside whatever speculation we have. We are looking into a possible terrorist attack," he said.
Meanwhile, security was tightened at Camp Capinpin in Tanay, Rizal province after the military received intelligence information that officers and soldiers facing court martial might plan to escape or walk out from a hearing on their involvement in the botched plan to overthrow the Arroyo administration in February 2006.
The soldiers and their officers, in reaction, only hoped that the government would not pin the Makati mall blast on them.

Magagalit Human Rights groups dyan.

The wanton disregard for people's lives clearly points to a
terrorist act.
To Trillanes et al.,aw cmon, how can you say that the government
is behind this when the investigators themselves who are on the
scene right now haven't even given a clear assessment yet?
Someone should keep this lunatic locked up forever and throw away
the key.
Ingat na lang tayo mga peeps. Lets all pray that all this madness
ends soon.

my speculation of how the bomb was planted based on the news, the bomb was planted through the exits of the delivery van, or the bomb came in the exits and not the entrance... it was planted near the LPG so massive explosion is expected, however luk yuen denied using lpg for cooking, what are they using then diesel? if so it is also explosive yet a fire should be brought about...
destabilization, possible martial law, or a decoy from the govt so the problem would be diverted

cell phone shop near the escalator ba? di kaya ina-assemble pa lang yung bomb sa cell phone shop, cell phone ang trigger, then meron nagtext like 2366"you just won!" and then kaboooom!?
just wondering... e di pinakamalapit yung bomb maker di ba, sana nga!
oo ng pala, from what i know, yung fire cracker sound was the detonator going off, the ka-boom was the c4 a split second later.

They found traces of C4 explosive daw. Not a good sign.
As far as I know, C4 or plastic explosive can only be accessed by the military.
But then hey, this is the Philippines right?

its definitely not LPG tank that caused this. by looking at the pictures of ground zero, only a fool would believe that crap. sumabog ang lpg na walang apoy? that's really something.
Exactly! It’s an exciting time — more affordable and practical EVs are definitely on the way.
