are there scholarships or educational loans or grants for single mothers in the philippines? are there programs in place to allow them to go back to school to get education?

    pero seriously...

    why the "single mom" criteria?

i'm sure passing the tests/requirements for a scholarship program will land anyone the education they want.

wala namang criteria as long as naipasa mo yung qualifications as scholar.

typical filipino predator and vulture attitude. maybe they are just down and need help from the government. sometimes some of us need help. no one is young or healthy or rich or strong forever. life is a fortune wheel, sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down.

seriously, has anyone ever heard of govt benefits for single moms?

why are single moms so special that the govt has to create a welfare system for them?

are they more deserving of govt benefits than other sectors of society?

the govt has a program called conditional cash transfer

that's a fancy way of saying the govt gives P500 cash/month to poor families

that's to prevent mass uprising which is the worst fear of the powers-that-be

there's no need to appease single moms. single moms dont overthrow governments

btw, considering Catholic church influence on govt policy, does anyone here think govt benefits for single moms will ever take off?

it's gonna look like the govt is encouraging women to be single moms

educational assistance for single moms? hahaha. good luck

gawa muna party list for single moms so they'll have a voice in congress

there is a single parent law - republic act 8972.. dito sa opis namin madami na ding single moms and they get benefits.. they get additional leave credits..

"It is the right granted to a solo parent employee to vary his/her arrival and departure time without affecting the core work hours as defined by the employer. Under Section 6 of RA 8972, the employer shall provide for a flexible working schedule for solo parents: Provided, That the same shall not affect individual and company productivity: Provided, further, That any employer may request exemption from the above requirements from the DOLE on certain meritorious grounds."

"In addition to leave privileges under existing laws, parental leave of not more than seven (7) working days every year shall be granted to any solo parent employee who has rendered service of at least one (1) year."

"The DECS, CHED and TESDA are mandated to provide the following benefits and privileges:
    (1) Scholarship programs for qualified solo parents and their children in institutions of basic, tertiary and technical/skills education; and
    (2) Nonformal education programs appropriate for solo parents and their children."
