start > run, tapos type mo dxdiag
or right click the desktop tapos click on properties. click on the settings tab, tapos advanced. click on the adapter tab sa taas. it should display what kind of card you have.

conversely, ito yung requirements ng half life 2:
Minimum requirements: 1.2GHz processor; 256MB RAM; DirectX 7-capable graphics card; Windows XP/2000/ME/98

Miko,
Look for these settings
System BUS Speed, Multiplier;
Right now, you're set at 8.5(Mult) X 166(BUS).
All you have to do is set it to 11(Mult) x 200(BUS).
Voila! Instant AthlonXP 3200+ !!!
Kung medyo hesitant ka, set it to 10 X 200 muna.... Athlon 3000+ levels....

sa system BIOS yan sa startup diba?
btw, wala palang softmod to overclock a 9600XT VC. apparently, it's the only ATI card that doesn't have one. i was browsing the web kanina looking for an alternative and ito yung nahanap ko:

Ang tapang mo naman mag soft mod hehe no pa rin pare.
Mag OC ka na lang sa BIOS... system improvement pa, hindi lang sa video.

diba multiplier locked na yung mga bagong Barton?
la pag-asa makapag Doom 3 yung Geforce2 and Geforce4 MX at a decent quality... for that matter, all geforce2, and geforce3, and arguably even geforce4 and geforce fx5200 hehe
pero hayuf na hayuf yung graphics ng doom 3!!!

IIRC they're with AVID. The reported numbers in the TG article are from CAMPI.
