Why will the devil try to scare you?
A very good point.

Hmmm... But then again, why not? I'm just thinking that the devil was not regarded as the father of lies for nothing. Notice that he also deserves to be known as the father of murder-lust-envy or hate. But he got this special distinction as the father of lies. Based on the premise that "ghosts" are not real but are actually elaborate apparitions that the devil fabricates, I would certainly suspect that he would exploit people's natural credulity to make his soldier's pop up in places where people would expect "ghosts" to inhabit, like the cemetery or museums, pretending to be someone they are not. No offense to the previous posters who believed he felt his dead father's presence while at the cemetery and the other who thought he felt the weight of all the tortured souls in Cambodia's genocidal museum. I'm just thinking, if ghosts are the devils devices (and the real souls of the dead are under God's keep and are going nowhere) would the devil not exploit those places for potential victims to misled?

I wouldn't put it passed Lucifer either, to use scare tactics, like conjuring up so-called ghosts to mislead people some more. I think he scares people just for the hell of it. Pun intended.
