Yes.
With the case filed against them and with the overwhelming evidence, then have to step back.
The victim (Punzalan) has all the ace cards in this case.
On Topic, I just use my dashcam to capture the journey. Sometimes in timelapse mode. If it captures any violation, that just a bonus.
In accidents, it's usually a case of he said, she said. Especially if it happened in an area without witnesses. That's why the police would still use tape measures of the vehicles' position, skid marks, lane marking and try to decipher who's at fault. With a dashcam recording, guess who has the answer?
I noticed that when i checked out their page yesterday.
On the other hand, JD's page following has really grown. Generally better audience too unlike that on the TGP page. Hope JD can keep it that way as i already saw an idiot ex-officemate of mine posting comments on his page too.
Puro mga jejemon posters ng Tgp ph.

I agree on the points that JD has generally been a positive news person and he really advocates for motoring issues. I've been following him since C! Vol.1 Issue 1 as I likened his writing style to how Car and Driver was in the 90s. As for the TGP head, I'm not fond of that guy either but i cannot comment much since i have not encountered him personally nor do i follow his writings, however from his day 1 in TGP I already saw some negative vibes in his writing style.
Even before TGP, VBS has been controversial when was still writing for a broadsheet, i forgot which broadsheet, but that was way way back.
Vernon is just more combative than James. They often have similar advocacies, but James is more of the selfie/instagrammy type than Vernon, who prefers to work through TGP than to push his agendas in person... probably the difference is that Vernon started as a print guy, while James, starting as a DJ, has always been more of a multi-media personality.

The case, technically, isn't very strong. As we all know, TGPh wasn't the primary source of misinformation, and it was the biker pages and Nuffsaid society spreading the guy's real name and info around calling for blood.
The problem is, there's a chance of a civil case prospering, because you don't need to prove that the information was wrong or that TGPh was the primary source... just malicious intent (which is highly debatable) and the lack of due diligence.
Granted, Deakin and others also posted, but they're not media outlets per se... just people... so TGPh is the easy target.

Either way, TGPh has stepped back to remove itself from the story... so all the trollsters only have Deakin's page to play on, now.![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
