Nagbayad ka ng $30 for tax for a box not worth more than $150? Did you declared the contents inside? Hence the $30 tax? Then the Customs here charged your mom for another P2000? What gives?Originally Posted by yebo
So how do they charge here? Is there a formula or they base it on how they feel that day?
Man, I hate them.
YUP...yung sis ko, nagpapadala sya monthly ng package, and so far, kumpleto naman..saka tama si raikonen..may picturetaking pa..hehe upon receipt of the package..it doesnt matter kung gano kabigat yung box..basta iba iba size nung box, dun dumedepende ang presyo na ibabayad ng nagpadala pero yung pinadalhan, wla ng babayaran...and door to door pa yun. pero there are times na may maliit syang package na pinapadala na registered...dati, dinedeliver sa kin but these past few days, notice na lang dumadating sakin and i had to claim it sa post office. bad trip lang kasi talagang bubuksan nila at hahalukayin yung padala sayo. talk about privacy..di uso sa kanila yun.Originally Posted by raikonen
May free silang isang box for every balikbayan box pero 2-3 months kang maghihintay. The best ang FOREX.
hmm so how about if i import a car? how much will the government tax me for it? can i declare that it's mine? well, it is mine if i already bought it there and not here di ba? or it doesnt work that way?? can you guys shed some light on this? thanks!!
e sa US postal service ko kasi pinadala since it only weighed less than 1/2 pound so need na i-declare. actually they even inspected it before i i can put it in the box. then pag dating sa pinas ayun pinagbayad pa ng tax ermats ko sa post office bago ni-release. b'day gift ko sa ermats ko na perfume and cosmetics ang laman.
You're better off ordering from grey market importers. They have the contacts to process your car w/ little hassle. Not to mention the Customs people will not know who you are. The well established importers could sell you a "clean" imported car with all the papers in order.Originally Posted by zechs
If you insist on bringing it in Customs would base the tax levied on their Blue Book guide that stipulates the SRP of all cars abroad. After you paid in full all the taxes you'd need to convince Customs to let it out. They could make the release as fast or slow depending on your disposition.
